Shorty

Styling these shorts
Thé yellow shorts did not emphasize my butt area so I decided to wear a long chambray top. Shorts were so soft and lightweight! Perfect when paired with slip ons. Im obsessed with my Aldo ones.
As you all know, black and white combo is my to go to color combo, to add sôme flair to thé outfit I decided to wear my Derek Lam shoes.
Top is from BCBG, shorts from Aeropostale.
This $5 floral cropped top was from H&M, paired with my ripped denim shorts from Wet Seal. There goes my trusted Gucci espadrilles.

Sweets!

I've been craving for anything but sweet for this week! I am trying my best to avoid dairy since it has helped my skin become clear and not have those bumpy zits. For this week I've been really bad! Whatever is the cause, I'm still going to satisfy my cravings!
Gelato from the streets of Las Olas and creamy goodness from Coldstone by SW 17th Street here in Fort Lauderdale. Strawberry popsicle from Outshine.

The Balm, etc.

When I was still living in the Philippines my to go to make up brand was the balm cosmetics. After moving here I couldnt find them at stores, I knew I could get them online but I prefer buying them at the store so I could see the pieces and try them on. Finally visited Kohls and I got two blushes and a primer and so happy with it! Found the swirly Eos Lipmbalm too!
Omg these macaroons are so yummers! Prefer them over the Laduree ones. You gotta try them! Did a short trip to Ulta too and got some NYX Lip Butter and Philosophy moisturizer.

Beach to Park Walks

If you are considering of walking to the park  and heading to the beach after this coming weekend here are some of my outfit inspirations. You can always wear that bikini underneath these outfits.
1. A laid back look is the perfect outfit for days like this. Flowy and colorful trousers are best combined with a white plain top. Don't forget your flip flops.
2. We need those hats to protect us from the heat.
3. Add prints to plain outfits.
4. Shorts and skirts are pretty basic so pair them with a flirty top

Shop smart ladies, if you love to get great deals check out Raise. They buy and sell gift cards, great way to get discounts! They have various brands to choose from.

Prints galore

What I'm wearing:
Look 1
Romper: Urban Planet
Boots: Urban Outfitters
Purse: H&M
I love details. This romper has a flirty cut in the back that's why I love it. White and black combo will always be in my wardrobe.
Look 2
Dress: Urban Planet
Shoes: Aldo
Colors and prints are everything to me. Just pumps out the happiness in me. August is extra special to me since this is my Anniversary month of being here in the US. Decided to splurge with this statement dress and paired it with plain metallic pumps. Aldo just has great deals everytime I visit their store so I don't leave empty handed.

Two years in the US

Confused, excited and super nervous. Mixed emotions when I was at the airport in the Philippines waiting to get on the plane for my flight to the US. I didn't know anybody. Leaving everyone at home and starting from scratch was overkill but I kept being positive and hopeful that everything will be okay.
Crying almost every night since I miss everyone.
Time went by so fast that today it's already been two years. Thankful for all the opportunities given to me. Still amazed how I was able to do a lot of things in the span of two years. Everything is just possible! I've learned to live my dreams here.
If you just moved from a new country, have faith. You are at the right place, for the right reasons, you may mot understand it now, but you will be thankful after you see the twist of fate. It will change your life!
My tips:
1. Learn and explore about your new place.
2. Get a license. Makes so much difference. It's easier to get to places. I have no access to trains here (at least near of house) and crazy long walk if I take a bus. Taxis are expensive!
3. Network, meet people. Make friends. Don't be afraid to ask for help. The right people will help, be thankful to them. There will be others who will ignore and even gossip about you when you try to ask for help (ignore them, avoid them, and learn that you don't want to be this kind of person). Some people are just like this, they don't want you to better than them so dont waste your time and move forward.
4. Enjoy the journey. If you get lucky, you will get your dream job right away. If not, savor each learning moment. These are building blocks. A good solid foundation you need when you snag you dream job.
5. Its okay to make mistakes. It's a sign you are doing your best and that you are trying. You cannot quit. You will get rejected several times.
If you have anymore questions, leave a comment, I will be glad to help.
