VIB Rouge: Beauty Product Obsession

I can't deny now that I love trying new beauty products since I recently leveled up to Vib Rouge at Sephora. Im not even good at putting on make up (lol) . I just enjoy having variety of lipsticks and blushes. I remember first seeing Sephora during my trip to Singapore and felt badly that we did not have them in the Philippines and so ever since I moved here I obviously went crazy with my shopping. I haven't even redeemed my gift for my 1000 plus points, I do regret not getting that Nars gift pack though for 500 points.

I'm very satisfied with my Tarte Amazonian Clay Foundation but since I use a Dior concealer I decided to give their foundation a try. The Dior Forever was too dark for me so I exchanged it for the Nude Skin ($49)and I'm just loving it! I'm using the shade 040. Gives full coverage!

Ooh la lift from Benefit ($22) I've seen on Instagram and got curious how it works as brightening for my eye and it worked perfect! Hervana ($28) gave me that subtle glow that I needed. Don't want that just been slapped look for summer. The No Blush Blush by Perricone MD was also amazing, although for the price ($35) I felt like Benetint will give me the same result. And yeah I got a new pair of sunnies.

Don't let anybody

Its amazing how statement tees can change our moods. I found this one from Aeropostale and I believe a lot can relate based from the likes I got on Instagram. Things in life are pretty simple: You create your own happiness and no matter how people try to destroy that positive vibe no one can ever put you down.

Almost Summer

The heat and dry air surely remind me that its close to summer. In case you have not gone shopping here's a guide
1. Of course your bikini. The brigther the better!
2. Cover up, lace is always on trend (TJ Maxx)
3. Mason Jar for your favorite drink. Stay hydated ladies. Got mine at Bed Bath and Beyond $0.99 straws and lid were $1.99
4. Pair of espadrilles (Aldo for me)
5. Small clutch for your phone and lipbalm (Trina Turk)

Summer Beauty Buys

Coco Madamoiselle by Chanel Eau de Parfum (100 ml for $120 got mine from Nordstrom)
I find it strong so if you prefer lighter scents go with the Eau de Toilette (100 ml for $90)
Glam Glow Face Mask is like a magic clay, I suffer adult acne and get cystic acne and I have relied on this as a spot treatment. Mind you definitely worth the splurge ($70)
Smith's Lip Balm has helped a lot with my dry lips. Sephora has them in different flavors. Mine is strawberry ($7)
I was hoping for the Nars Foundation ($45) to replace my Chanel Mat Lumiere but I ended up returning it. The shade wasn't the right one for me. I find the texture too liquidy.
Needed a new blush and this Mata Hari shade from Nars ($30) caught my eye
I am so thrilled with my drugstore lipsticks. I thought I'd give them a try since there are a lot of colors to choose from. I usually get designer brands but wanted to try something different this time. And I was surprised with how pigmented they are. Rimmel, Milani, Wet and Wild and Maybelline are the brands I have been loving so far. ($3-$10)

Atlanta, Georgia for the weekend

This weekend getaway was much needed since I wanted to spend more time with hubby. We've been apart for seven weeks, and got even busier when I came back from my trip. Perfect timing since he has a storage place there that we have to deal with so we decided to visit the place. I have always heard good things about Atlanta and have always been curious. We went on Thursday after work, stayed at a hotel for the night and continued with our drive the next day. 10 hours roughly. We would normally take the plane but since we had so much stuff to bring with us back we decided to go for a road trip.

We stayed at the Double Tree Hotel by Buckhead. FYI: Valet Parking is $25 a day and WIFI is $9 a day (which I find weird since most hotels don't charge for this) I still enjoyed our stay there despite this (we expect to spend when we go on trips) The hotel is very clean, well decorated and staff are very helpful and polite. I believe breakfast is not included for the package that we paid for(additional $14 to get breakfast)

We got the chance to see the Botanical Garden, Stone Mountation, Aviation Museum and the Aquarium. Based from the weather forecast it was going to rain so we weren't expecting to see as many but I'm so glad it was mostly sunny during our visit.

Shopping wise, I enjoyed wandering around Phipps Plaza (they had Versace,Valentino, Gucci, Tiffany's and a whole lot more). For outlet malls having designer brands I have noticed that they don't have as much as compared to Florida.

My favorite food places were Rise and Dine (breakfast place), Houston's (get their porkchop) and Joey D's (ohhh croissants!)

Also love the fact the people are so friendly! It has a very happy and welcoming vibe and Im definetely going back here.

Spring/Summer Purchases

It's no secret that I love to shop. For this season I want something eye catching. I am not practicular with brands as long as I like it I will wear it. Been getting a lot of great deals lately. Sales here and there how could I resist?
The pink purse was on sale for $5 from H&M.(the strap came off already, I carry heavy stuff ALL the time and I'm not used to wearing smaller ones). Floral heels from Payless and Roxy lace high waisted shorts are both worth 20 bucks. The challenge is to look great no matter how cheap your outfit is.(Who wouldn't look good in designer brands right?!?) Don't forget to add some shimmer to your look, love this highlighter from NYX.
The orange cut out heels from Nine West I'm gonna have to return though. They are big. I tried to exchange it for a smaller size but they didn't have it in this color anymore.
Of course it won't be complete without ice cream for the hot weather. Anything Ben and Jerrys makes me happy haha its just a bonus that they have pistachios flavor! Weeeee.
And oh, have you seen Maleficent?

Where at: H&M Miami International Mall

I was pretty excited when I woke up this morning because I get to hang out with the blogger babes and get the chance to see H&M's newest store location. H&M is my to go to store because its one of the few places where clothes can actually fit me!
I arrived at the venue around 9 and we were welcomed by a delicious breakfast. Did a lot of chit chatting with the girls then started shopping! In the end I got 2 pairs of printed pants, purse, a blazer and a lace skirt. You will see them in my next outfit posts. The store had a wide selection of clothes for kiddos too! It was such a fun experience! Thank You H&M.
